I really enjoyed this piece - and the book goes straight on my amazon list.
ReplyDeleteTo my knowledge the only modern authors who use pseudonyms are where two writers co-author and choose a name together, ie, Nicci French = Nicci Gerrard and Sean French, or where an author hasn't quite broken through using their original name, and has been relaunched with another (too diplomatic to give an example here!).
I do think you would enjoy it. Very interesting example of a team of authors! Ciuraru did mention a few other examples in her introduction(Stephen King wrote briefly as Richard Bachman) and I believe also Nora Roberts, but in the internet day and age, less useful for privacy and more for writing outside of genre, or for a very prolific writer, to not compete against oneself.
